Hi, and welcome to Kiss-im-mee’s Green Place for Natural and Organic Vegetables, LLC. Kiss-im-mee’s Green Place (KGP) wants to be your one stop shop for fresh, vine ripened, natural and beyond organic vegetables in Central Florida. The goal of our natural and beyond organic vertical growing farm is to provide the public with the lowest priced, freshest, tastiest, most delicious and nutritious, vine-ripened produce that they desire to live a long, healthy life. We grow a variety of fresh, tasty vegetables and herbs. Our vegetables are harvested each morning, so that they are at the peak of their maturity and flavor. This will also enable your vegetables to have a longer shelf life after you take them home.

We are growing natural and beyond organic because of the lack of availability and affordability for vine-ripened, fresh picked and locally grown produce. At the present time, even if you purchase natural and organic vegetables at your local supermarkets, more than likely it is being shipped from California or Mexico. No matter where it originates, the cost of packing, cooling, shipping and distributing this produce from such a distance is why the prices are so high. So, if your produce is being shipped so far, more than likely your “fresh” vegetables are at least one week old and have lost a lot of the nutritional value that they had when first picked.

KGP is not a U-Pick, but our customers will see how their vegetables are grown and watch a farm operate on a daily basis. All produce for sale will be displayed at our vegetable stand. You will see vegetables in all stages of their life cycle, but rest assured, only the ripest, most tastiest vegetables will be picked for you to purchase.

TOURS

We now offer tours each weekend. Only one tour per day each Saturday and Sunday at 1:30 pm.  No appointment is necessary.  The cost is $5.00/person.  A $25.00 minimum is necessary for a tour.  Children under 5 are not permitted.  You must be 6 or older.  Tours usually last 1 hour.  Shoes and socks are mandatory.  No high heels or opened toed shoes such as sandals or flip-flops are permitted.  We can not accommodate wheelchairs or strollers.

TOURS THAT NEED APPOINTMENTS

Fridays - The cost is $10.00/person with a $50.00 minimum.  As always, the money you pay for the tour can be used as cash for items that we sell in our retail store.

Large groups and families with children under the age of 6.

Tours are also available on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at a cost of $10.00/person, with a $50.00 minimum/tour. You will NOT get to use your money in the store as we are closed during this time.

Come join us for an open house where we will have free food samples, cooking demonstrations and a raffle drawing for gift certificates.  During the "Second Anniversary" celebration, tours will be available Saturday and Sunday 11:00 am, 1:30 pm and 3:00 pm.  The price for the tour is $5 for each person.  There must be at least 5 people for a tour or the price goes up.  We must collect a minimum of $ 25.00 to conduct a tour.  Children under 5 are not permitted on tours. You  must be 6 or over.  Tours last approximately 1 hour.  You will be issued a voucher good for that day only for anything sold in our retail store.  You must wear shoes and socks.  No opened toed shoes or high heels of any kind.  We cannot accommodate strollers or wheelchairs.
